This is William. I met him sitting outside a convenience store in a very rural part of southern Tennessee. He was just about to light up a cigarette when i approached him and introduced myself. I told him where I was from, and asked if I could take his photo. He said "What do you want a picture of an old drunk for?" I asked him where he lived, and he said just down the road a bit. I didn't see any cars in the parking lot, so I asked him if he would like a ride anywhere. He jumped up and said that would be great, and asked if he could go in and buy another 40 oz. I told him that would be fine. He came out clutching a bottle in a brown paper sack. I told him that I would appreciate if he didnt smoke in the truck, and he said that would be "alright." We got in the truck and drove down a winding tar covered road, and chatted as we went along. I asked him about his parents, his grandparents, what it was like living around here, and then I asked him what he thought of our President, Donald Trump. He said "Not much." followed quickly by "What's a rich guy like 'at know 'bout a guy like me?" I left it at that.
